Antique French jewelry box is made of heavily lacquered wood finished in dark red and black. The edges are trimmed with metal. There are four metal legs. The lid is hinged and is filled with a heavy piece of beveled plate glass. The case has a key lock. Inside, the case is lined with green plush.
